Filipino is Alive and Well

In the article “PH language experts say Filipino is being born” by Cecile Caguingin Ochoa, it can be clearly seen that the Filipino language is well celebrated, but does this mean we don’t need people to learn more about the language?

In the article it can be clearly seen that there are many people doing different activities to celebrate our beautiful language and cultures. It can even be seen when the “Chair of the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Virgilio Almario said the national language is rapidly being enriched through daily use and through other manners of usage in different places and situations”(Ochoa). This goes to show that even in present day, Filipinos still patronize our own culture and language. This language is not dying, but it is continuing to thrive and grow, and even with the present context of the younger Filipinos. Filipinos are still accepting and using and mixing our language with other languages and even creating new words. This means that our culture is truly alive and well. But, does this mean that we don’t have to keep spreading the beauty of our language and culture? I don’t believe so, and this even gives me even better reasons to spread and promulgate the Filipino Language to not just Filipinos but everyone in the world. This means that the Philippines can do better. That not just a majority, but maybe even the whole country loving this beautiful language and culture. The hope is to patronize what is ours and not others. I have high hopes that this country can do better in terms of loving our country and serving it. This country can do better, and I hope every single Filipino can play a part in making this goal possible
